The Psychological Wellbeing Service (IAPT) offers treatments across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.  If you would like support you may refer your self directly to the service via the internet

Mental Health Crisis Support 
The service is available to anyone, of any age, currently living in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough in mental health crisis. Individuals may call themselves or others can call on behalf of someone in crisis. Provides a safe place for individuals experiencing an emotional or mental health crisis.

Centre33 - Centre 33 is here to support young people in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough with a wide range of issues.


Cogwheel provides counselling and psychotherapy support for people in Cambridgeshire. 1 in 4 people will suffer from mental health problems in the course of a year, the most common disorder being mixed anxiety and depression. Early counselling intervention is an effective solution and prevents more complex health and social needs from developing. Through counselling a person can talk about difficult thoughts, feelings, behaviour and situations. Counselling can enable positive changes to take place leading to a healthier, happier and more hopeful outlook.


KEEP YOUR HEAD –  The website covers a range of issues including stress, bullying, self-harm and what to do in a mental health crisis. 


KOOTH – This is a free, safe counselling service providing information and support for people aged between 11 and 24 years. As well as offering  moderated support groups young people can also book counselling as regular structured sessions with an assigned counsellor, or use the ‘drop in service’ online and have a text based conversation with a trained counsellor. 


The service is available 12noon-10pm Monday-Friday and 6pm-10pm on weekends, 365 days a year. 


Shelf-Help – This scheme provides recommended expert endorsed books about mental health for 13-18 year-olds through libraries. Topics include anxiety, depression, eating disorders, self-harm, bullying and exams. Collections are available through Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Libraries’ book list:


Living Life to the Full - free online courses covering low mood and stress and all of the common linked problems this causes. Work out why you feel as you do, how to tackle problems, build confidence, get going again, feel happier, stay calm, tackle upsetting thinking and more.


Mood Gym – moodgym is like an interactive self-help book which helps you to learn and practise skills which can help to prevent and manage symptoms of depression and anxiety.
